Dochnahl Construction was founded in 1946 by Jack Dochnahl and in the mid ‘70’s his son Denny Dochnahl took over.
Ron Nolten started in 1976 as a draftsman and estimator and bought the company from Denny in 1986. Ron is currently selling company to Greg Nolten, Mike Smith and Barry Langlois but is still involved in day-to-day operations.
Mike Smith started with the company in 1983 as general labor and worked his way up to his current position of Vice-President of Production. Mike currently handles daily dispatch of our crews, acts as job site superintendent and monitors quality control.
Barry Langlois also started as general labor in 1987 and is currently Vice-President of Sales. Barry also acts as job site superintendent manages sales and monitors quality control.
Greg Nolten joined the company in 1992 as general labor while still in college and is currently Vice-President of Management and handles sales and job estimating.
Between Ron, Greg, Mike and Barry, we have over 100 years of combined experience.
Dochnahl Construction joined the Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Washington in 1989. Ron and Greg have held several positions at ABC including Chair Person, serving on the Board of Directors, membership council, governance council and finance committee. ABC’s website is www.abcwestwa.org Dochnahl Construction has also been a member of the Master Builders Association since the mid ‘80s.
We have contacts and long-time working relationships with many structural engineers, architects, soils engineers, general contractors, plumbers, side sewer contractors, masons, landscapers, heating and cooling contractors, electricians and trucking and excavating contractors for large projects.
Estimates are free to homeowners and building owners. We charge $150 estimate fee for properties involved in a real-estate transaction. The $150 is credited toward the work if we get the job.
We own a fleet of 12 trucks ranging from pickups to 1 ton dump trucks to several that haul dumpsters, 3 – 185 cfm air compressors to power our jack hammers, 2 mini-track hoes and a Bobcat skid-steer loader.
